Two Day ISDRA Sanctioned Skijor and Sprint Sled Race

February 16, 2007: The purse amount is now $1300.

We are still working out the details with Salmon Hills about possibly offering a 10km skate ski race and a 3-dog skijor class. Factors affecting this decision include time constraints and finances. Please stay tuned for more updates soon. Thanks!

Entry Eligibility Restrictions:

Purebred teams will need to provide purebred documentation if a dog is in question. American Kennel Club and Canadian Kennel Club documents will be accepted.

As per the Summer 2006 Board meeting it is a new PSDC policy that all participants of PSDC events are required to be current PSDC members. Participants who are not current PSDC member may join during the registration process.

Trail Description:

The race course is hilly with challenging uphills and gradual downhills.

Purse Payouts and Awards:

There will be a $1300 guaranteed minimum purse for this event!

Purse will be paid out to Pro classes only. Sliding Scale Purse Distribution will be used.

Anyone NOT staying in lodging at Salmon Hills must pay a trail fee of $10. All racers are responsible for taking care of this on their own. Please pay at the Salmon Hills front desk. The trail fee must be paid or you will be disqualified from the race. If you help with trail preparation you are exempt from the trail fee.

From the North: I-81 South to exit 36. Turn left onto County Route 2. Travel 13 miles east to Noble Shores Drive on right.

From the South: I-81 North to exit 36. Turn right onto Route 13 for 1 mile and turn left onto Route 2A. Go .6 of a mile and turn right onto Centerville Road. Go .2 of a mile and turn left onto Peck Road for 1.6 miles. Turn right onto County Route 2 and travel 10.7 miles to Noble Shores Drive on right.

From the East: Westbound on NYS Thruway 90. Rome exit 32, follow signs to Rome, Westbound out of Rome on Route 69. Look for large sign "Taberg-Blossvale", turn right on 285, (Main Street Tagberg). Follow County Route 285 to Village of Florence and proceed to Redfield. Road becomes County Route 27 and then County Route 17 North. Go 1/2 mile North of Redfield - turn left on County Route 2. Travel 3 miles to Noble Shores Drive on left.
