Event Description:

This year's summer campout we are trying out a new venue located in beautiful Tioga County, PA, north central PA (just below New York). Historic Wellsboro and the PA Grand Canyon are just 20 minutes away! The campground is very clean, has a lot of shaded sites by the stream, a playground, has excellent restroom/shower facilities, a large general store and is walking distance to several restaurants/bar/grills. Registration forms due by Friday August 3, 2007. Late registration is subject to a $10.00 late fee.

Featured Guest Speaker:

Our guest speakers this year will be Leigh and Susan Gilchrist. Hailing from Ontario, Canada, the Gilchrists have spoken as far way as California, Australia, Scandinavia, and the UK. Having spoken at three ISDRA meetings and having Doc Lombard and Harris Dunlap as mentors, they are not to be missed!

Entry Eligibility Restrictions:

There is no restriction for participation in the event, with the possible exception of required club membership for dog powered events. More information will be posted on this when it becomes available. Club membership can be established or renewed at or prior to the event.

Sorry, but we cannot accept foreign currency. All fees must be paid in U.S. dollars.

There will be separate fees to see the speaker, for breakfast and for the chicken barbeque.

Camping fees are also separate.

Saturday Night Event (Auction):

Help out the club! Bring good condition sled dog related items to donate to the auction. All proceeds will go to PSDC to fund purses and cover club expenses.

Breakfast:

Breakfast includes: scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, butter, coffee, and orange juice. Available Saturday and Sunday with pre-registration.

Saturday Night Potluck & Barbeque Dinner:

Please bring your covered dish and pre-register for the chicken Barbeque prepared by Chef Rich Stanaitis!

Meal includes: Barbeque chicken, corn-on-the-cob, iced tea, and lemonade!

Please remember to bring a serving utensils for your covered dish as well as plates and utensils for yourself.

Camping Information:

Tent sites are available with and without water and electric. There are different fees for PSDC members and non-members. The fees are listed above in the "Fees" section.

Racing, sportsmanship, safety, PA, leash laws and poop pick-up apply. Please leave the campground with a good impression so we'll be invited back!

From the North (I-86, from I-390, NY-17):
  • Take exit 44 for US-15 S toward RT-417 W/Gang Mills/Williamsport
  • Turn right at US-15 S
  • Merge onto US-15 S via the ramp to Mansfield
  • Take the PA-414 exit toward Liberty/Morris
  • Turn right at PA-414
  • Turn left at PA-287/PA-414
  • Continue to follow PA-287 for 4.1 miles
From the West (I-80):
  • Take exit 173 for PA-64 toward Lamar
  • Turn left at Nittany Valley Dr/PA-64
  • Turn right at PA-477
  • Take the ramp onto US-220 N
  • Turn left at PA-287 (signs for PA-287 N)
  • Continue to follow PA-287 for 24.2 miles
From the East (I-80):
  • Take exit 212S-W to merge onto I-180 W toward Williamsport
  • Continue on US-220 S
  • Turn right at PA-287
  • Continue to follow PA-287 for 24.2 miles
From the South:

Simply drive north to I-80 and use the appropriate "from the east" or "from the west" directions above.
