Pre-registration for dinner is required by September 15th.

Event Description:

Come and help out in Winona Forest. Take an active role in maintaining the beautiful scenic trails that we all enjoy year round. Work cooperatively with other WFRA members to keep Winona Forest a great place for all users. Begin your Fall training in a friendly group atmosphere; mornings are already nice and cool on Tug Hill. Enjoy food and friends at a joint picnic lunch with other WFRA members after working on trails in a collective effort all in the beauty of Winona Forest. Join other PSDC members for a wonderful dinner provided by the Pulaski Fire Department. Voice your ideas or concerns at the annual Fall General Membership meeting following dinner at the Pulaski Fire House. Spend time with other mushers at Harris Lodge on Friday and Saturday night, enjoy the kitchen facilities and breakfast right there where you stay, 14 beds are available (first come first serve).

Important Venue Restrictions:

Gig training only, ATVs are not allowed in the forest on DEC trails.

We do not have permission to use chain saws etc., unless certified in NYS.

Saturday, September 19, 2009:
7:00AM - 9:00AMDog Training in Winona Forest
Training will be on Bargy Road, out & back, with personnel available to assist in turning teams.
Gig training only, ATVs are not allowed in the forest on DEC trails.
9:00AM - 12:30PMJoint Trail Work with WFRA
Meet at the groomer barn at 9am for instructions.
Please sign up for musher work detail by emailing Jason Sperry at: musher@winonaforest.com. Each group will be working on specific trails for their user group. Bring pruners, clippers, gloves, hand saws etc.
1:00PM - 4:00PMLunch... Picnic with WFRA
WFRA will provide burgers, dogs, rolls, drinks, paper products and condiments. Please let us know if you can bring a dish to pass, to avoid duplication e-mail: volunteers@winonaforest.com, bring your own chairs and a volley ball, or bad mitten set if you have one.

There will be voting on bylaw amendments and other current issues. Positions openĀ for nominations or re-election are President, Treasurer, Musher Director, Equestrian Director and Trail Committee Appointment. Anyone interested in any of these positions or nominating someone for these positions should contact vp@winonaforest.com. Nominations will also be taken from the floor.

Alcoholic beverages will be available at the fire station for an additional fee from the bar.
