38th Annual Summer Campout

at
Twin Streams Campground
Morris, PA

July 31st through August 2nd, 2009

Campout and Board Meeting

Event Updates:

July 18, 2009: Updated directions from the east. Directions should have said "at the end of the ramp, turn LEFT at PA-414", instead of "right at PA-414". Also:

  • We will have Juniors classes our races.
  • We are waiving the late registration fee since our newsletter got out so late.

Event Description:

By popular demand we are again holding the summer campout at Twin Streams Campground nestled in the beautiful mountains of Tioga County, PA. (North Central PA, just below NY). Historic Wellsboro and the PA Grand Canyon are just 20 minutes away! The campground is very clean, has a lot of shaded sites by the stream (great for cooling off in!), a playground, excellent restroom/shower facilities, a large general store and is walking distance to two restaurants/bars. Check them out at http://www.wellsboropa.com/twinstreams.html or call (570) 353-7251.

Registration Form:

The registration form is available for download here: Registration Form. Please see the "Documents Available for Download" section near the bottom of this page or the "Forms and Documents" link on the left side of the page for any other downloadable forms or documents related to this event.

Registration forms due by Friday July 17, 2009. Late registration is subject to a $10.00 late fee.

Featured Seminars:

This year we would like to offer mini seminars as opposed to one main speaker. Besides knowledge, you will walk away with items created and handouts. If you are interested in BOTH seminars in a given slot let me know...with enough interest we can re-run high demand seminars in the evening. Directions:

To access Google Maps for directions with the correct location preloaded, Please click here. This page will allow you to enter your starting location, and will get you right to the turn into the campgrounds. THIS IS THE RECOMMENDED WAY TO GET DIRECTIONS! This will enter coordinates as a DESTINATION, not an actual street address!!! You may enter YOUR street address as a starting point to get directions from your location to the campgrounds. If you choose the "satellite" view (button in the upper right corner of the map) you can clearly see the campground to the left of the destination.

The exact coordinates for the campground office are 41.595765N, 77.295946W. This is on the northwest side of Morris, PA, right in the town. If you think you've gone more than a few hundred feet from the center of town, you've gone too far.

Please note the street address from the campground website, http://www.wellsboropa.com/twinstreams.html, is 2143 Route 287 Morris, PA 16938. For some reason THIS STREET ADDRESS WILL NOT map to the correct location in either Mapquest or Google Maps! The directions I put up on the website were a source of confusion to a number of people the first year, including myself! This year, I have verified the preloaded link I have posted is correct!

  • Continue straight through the intersections, road becomes PA-287, continue 0.2 miles and turn left into the campground
