PSDC Kid and Mutt Dash Program
At all of our Winona Forest races for the 2007-2008 season, we will be having a kid & mutt dash!
- You Bring the Kid, We Supply the Mutt!!!
- This is a great way for your kid to try dog-powered sports.
- We have a limited number of spots available for the public to sign up.
- Please contact Christina Gates (christina@subzerodogs.org; 315-831-2025) to sign your child up for one of our events that features the Kid & Mutt Dash
- Tug Hill Challenge (February 16-17, snow date Mar 1-2)
- Mannsville Quest Mini Mid-Distance Race (February 23)
- Mannsville Quest Sled Dog Derby (February 24)
- The races will feature the Kid & Mutt Sled Race, where the kids will sit in the basket of the sled with an adult driving the sled (if they're really young) or the kid can drive the sled on their own. Distance is 100 meters.
- Kids must bring their own helmets. Bicycle, motorcycle, snowmobile, or equine helmets are acceptable. Parents must sign a permission slip.
- There is no cost to participate in this program.
- Please do not bring your pet dogs from home. Only trained sled dogs are allowed to participate in kid & mutt dash!
- PSDC members, please be prepared to have a dog or two to share!
